Pennywise has had a full life’s journey up to this point. He started out as a feral cat in Colorado and was subsequently domesticated. After making his way to Virginia, Pennywise’s owners had to surrender him to the Shelter due to financial reasons. Unfortunately, Pennywise needed full-mouth extractions (which Friends was able to fund). After a full recovery, Pennywise was back on his game and ready for adoption! 

In less than a month’s time, Pennywise found his person. “I adopted a senior cat from the Shelter in early December [2025] and he is just perfect,” his new mom gushed. “[After his dental surgery], he is eating steadily now and shows no signs of pain. The facility and staff were amazing.”
