Buttercup was surrendered to Animal Services when her owner became unhomed. Although a stately 7 years old and in good condition medically, her dental health was a different story. Because of the generosity of our Friends donors, Buttercup underwent major dental surgery which required the removal of most of her teeth but in the end, saved her life.
Not long after, Buttercup was adopted into her new family. “Buttercup is doing great!” her new mom reported. “Upon adoption, she was sad, shy, and a little skittish, [particularly] during mealtime (probably due to her prior dental problems). But she has adjusted to our home, eats well now and seems to be happy.”
“Buttercup loves walking on the beach, going for car rides and getting belly rubs! We are grateful for Friends’ support. I’m not sure Buttercup would have survived without their dental surgery. Thanks again to Fairfax County Animal Services as well. We are thrilled to have Buttercup join our family!”
