Romeo – now Chromeo (Chrome for short) – came to Animal Services as an owner-surrender when his owner could no longer afford his care. Unfortunately, this sweet boy was experiencing extreme discomfort due to a urinary blockage caused by an untreated urinary tract infection and bladder stones. Luckily, surgery was a viable and immediate option – thanks to the generosity of Friends – providing pain relief and bringing him back to social, lovable self.
That sweet demeanor immediately won over his new family! “[We have only had him a short time as of this report, but] Chrome is home. He’s happy, frolicking, affectionate, sweet and cuddly. He imprinted on my husband immediately and they are now best friends!!! He also bonded with Korra, our three-year-old standard poodle. They have had limited outdoor play [due to a heatwave], but I anticipate a lot more fun once the weather allows. He’s been a calming influence on Korra, and she’s bringing out the puppy in Chromeo!”
“He’s got a large fenced-in yard to roam and his ginormous head has plenty of things to check out. He extremely inquisitive and very intelligent. I can see his wheels turning!❤️
“We are so thankful that he was refurbished!”
