Six-year-old  Hunter was surrendered to Animal Services by his owner who was transitioning to assisted living and could not take him with her. A visually obvious mass turned out to be a hernia in his groin area needing immediate attention (thanks to Friends for providing funding!). After a difficult recovery – not unusual with his type of hernia – Hunter’s energy and demeanor came back enough for him to take on and crush his Adoption Audition a month later!

In his previous life, Hunter enjoyed walks, car rides, quiet time, running and hiking, and playing with his toys as well as lap and snuggle time. As he fully enters his senior years, hopefully his new owners will be able to carry on the tradition.
