Tempe became orphaned when her owner passed away. She came to the Shelter with no one to care or advocate for her. Although she was 12 years old, she was just a wee thing at five pounds with large, curiosity-seeking eyes. What’s not to love?? Other than a lackluster appetite, Tempe was in good health and soon found her new home, leaving the Shelter with a $500 voucher for Pender in her paw – compliments of Friends!

Her family sent the following report: “We’re happy to share that Tempe is doing really well and has settled into our home beautifully. She absolutely loves to cuddle and receive pets. She has become such a sweet and affectionate part of our family. We’re so happy to see her becoming more comfortable and showing us her personality.”

“Thank you so much for the wonderful work you do to support the animals at the Fairfax County Animal Shelter…and thank you for the generous $500 voucher toward her veterinary care [which will give] Tempe a happy new chapter in her life!”
