Ash is an example of a pet who was in dire need of surgery after suffering an unknown injury to his leg, requiring amputation. Friends was able to provide this necessary surgery to relieve him of the pain and discomfort it was causing him. Although it might look bad, pets tend to adapt very well to this kind of surgery and are able to get around very well. His foster parent took great care of him during his recuperation, and was adopted very shortly after returning to the Shelter.
