Tough situations don’t seem to keep Buffie down – even with two casted legs, he was good-spirited and as loving as could be. Thanks to your support, Friends was able to help Buffie through a hard time and get him the care he needed.
Buffie ended up at the Fairfax County Animal Shelter with injuries to both of his front legs, requiring them to be plated. Friends funded his expensive, but essential, surgery to give him a leg up (or two!) towards a healthy and comfortable life.
This was an unfortunate and difficult situation for any animal, but especially a 5-month-old puppy who just wanted to run and play. Through his surgery and recovery, the Fairfax County Animal Shelter staff and his foster family helped this little guy get back on all four feet! Buffie found a family almost immediately after being available for adoption and he is now enjoying life with his new brother and his new name, Yoshi.
