Cali is a 10-year-old female pup who was surrendered due to medical issues her owner could not afford. Cali’s road to Animal Services was a rocky one – first being left stateside while her original family went overseas and never returned. Then her default owner reported that Cali suffered from a heart murmur and large bladder stones which caused difficulty urinating and bleeding.

Even with all of her health issues – including significant dental disease! – Cali’s disposition has been amazing. After the cystotomy to remove those stones, as well as some much-needed dental work (both of which were covered by Friends’ donations), Cali’s energy came right back. Her foster family noted “Whoever adopts Cali will have an affectionate and devoted companion.” Adopted just a week post-surgery, we are sure that’s still the case!
