Edward found himself unhomed when his owner passed away. After being transferred from a partner rescue, he was found to be in good health for a 10-year old, only needing some dental extractions (thanks to Friends!). When his potential adopter popped into the Shelter one day, there was a crowd of visitors fawning over the kitten cubbies. Meanwhile, Edward calmly sauntered by – uncaged – tail held high, greeting everyone as the elder statesman he was.

Although she hesitated momentarily due to his age, Edward had already made it clear that he had chosen her! “Edward is the best! He is truly a ‘senior gentleman’ as described. He settled into our house very quickly, loves sleeping on laps, looking at birds out the window, playing ‘chase the shoelace,’ and generally being wherever [his] people are. We were so pleased that [Friends] provided [for his dental work] and he came through just fine!”

Friends is thankful for Edward’s family being so welcoming to a senior noting, “To anyone thinking of adopting – please consider a friendly senior cat!”
