Hannah (nee Poppy) was just 10 weeks old when she, her mom and littermates came to the Shelter. Suffering from a congenital defect, Hannah had to have her left hind leg amputated, which thankfully was covered by our generous Friends donors. Within weeks, she was bouncing back from surgery and recovering like a champ. It seems like only minutes after being made available for adoption that Hannah was placed into her new fur-ever home.
New parents declared that, “Hannah has quickly become a loved member of our family. She enjoys snuggling, ambushing her toys from under the furniture, and watching the birds and squirrels from the back window.” She runs and jumps so high they almost forget she only has three legs! “She is a sweetheart and we feel so fortunate to be able to have her in our life. We look forward to many years with this beautiful and feisty kitty.”
The family also wanted to thank the Fairfax County Animal Shelter for their support during the adoption process, as well as Friends of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter for giving Hannah a better life by providing the leg surgery. “She is very healthy and happy girl [and] we enjoy every second with her.”
