Eleven-year-old Indie was surrendered to the Shelter when his owners determined they could no longer give him (or his brother) adequate care. After Friends sponsored his extensive dental work and his chronic dry eye was diagnosed and treated, Indie was on the road to adoption! 

Indie’s adopters were quick to note that he is doing “absolutely amazing! We recently moved to New York, where he now has over 20 acres to explore every day. He has truly thrived since being adopted and has completely blossomed in his new life.” Although Indie was initially guarded, his family has worked patiently to garner his trust and the progress has been incredible. “He now allows us to pick him up and even lets us touch his feet —something we couldn’t do before.”
