Legolas

Liberated Legolas

Found as a stray near Tysons Corner, Legolas was suffering from a severe leg laceration causing him a great deal of pain. The Fairfax County Animal Shelter took in this little guy and Friends quickly approved funding for his amputation surgery. Amputations (especially for young pets) sound scary, but animals adapt to the change and tend to do very well once healed.
Legolas went to a foster home for recovery, and ended up being a ‘foster fail’, meaning his foster family decided to adopt him for good! We are grateful to be able to give Legolas a full life, one without pain or discomfort, by funding his medical care. Three cheers for tripod kitties!
