Lola came to the shelter requiring “tibial plateau leveling osteotomy” (TPLO) surgery to repair a ruptured Cranial Cruciate Ligament (similar to the human ACL). Thanks to the generosity of our Friends’ donors, Lola’s surgery and recovery went exceedingly well, and ready her for next adventure.
What began as a typical foster experience changed in a matter of just a few weeks, when her foster parents realized that she was too good to let go and proceeded to adopt her. Now, Lola is a sweet and well-behaved canine whose humans can’t say enough good things about her. She enjoys a good game of tug and is a zoomie extraordinaire, flinging her toys about with reckless abandon. She enjoys her walks and clearly dreams of catching one of the many squirrels we encounter. But in reality, she loves nothing more than snuggles and belly rubs from her people. Her family recognizes how crucial this knee surgery was for Lola’s quality of life and is forever thankful for the Friends program.
