Maximus is a 13-year-old senior pup who was surrendered to the Shelter needing care for significant (and painful) dental disease and a few other medical issues. After receiving dental care (thanks to Friends!) and clearing his other medical conditions, Maximus was ready (and willing!) for adoption.  

Maximus has a new home and a new mom who was bursting with excitement as she gave us her update: “Thank you for saving Maximus! Even though he is a senior, he is still blossoming and thriving in his new forever home! [While] he had some triggers (mostly food aggression)…they are less frequent [thanks to] positive reinforcement, [a regular] routine, and lots of love.  Maximus is an amazing and extremely smart little man; I love him so much! Just wanted to thank you again for saving this little guy…he is the perfect fit for my family!”
