Sugar (nee Petunia) was brought to the Shelter after being hit by a car. Her injuries appeared quite severe, requiring intensive care and an extended hospital stay. Ultimately, she lost her left front leg; however, by all accounts, this puppy is lucky to be alive, thanks to the expert care provided by Pender Veterinary Centre – Fairfax and the generosity of our Friends’ donors. 

Fast forward and Sugar is now doing great according to her adopted dad! She’s practically glued to him all the time (which he loves) and is so sweet to everyone she meets. Although she did lose her leg, Sugar doesn’t seem the slightest bit phased by it. She still runs and plays hard with lots of energy, even if she does tire quickly. Her new family is so happy that Sugar got a second lease on life and has found her forever home with them.
