Tootie

Tranquil Tootie

Tootie was surrendered to the Animal Shelter due to ongoing issues with a “urethral obstruction,” a lifethreatening condition. The intake veterinarian was struck by how sweet he was and immediately became smitten. Many cats are scared and will hiss, growl or lash out, but Tootie was a little angel from the start. Together, the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, Friends of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, and the vet’s colleagues worked to save Tootie from an otherwise terminal illness.

Already in possession of one buff male neutered tabby with urethral obstruction, the vet felt well equipped to bring Tootie home a few days later and introduce him to his new home.

Update: Tootie has been doing great! He loves nothing more than to play with his toys, and cuddle in an open lap. He gained a new home and a new best friend and is still as sweet as ever. Thank you Fairfax County Animal Shelter and Friends!
