Elvis (now named Winston) is a Great Dane who came into the Shelter as a very underweight stray. After a thorough evaluation, he was deemed to be in good health and just needed to bulk up. In less than a month, Winston was snatched up by his forever family (and went home with a $500 senior credit thanks to Friends!). As of October 2025, he was up to approximately 120 lbs and is absolutely loving his new adopted life. His new mom notes, “As an eight year-old Great Dane, we truly didn’t know what to expect. But he has been adopted by our three girls who all adore him.” Winston’s days consist mostly of lounging in the sun (on his toddler-sized bed!), doing lots of big stretches and lovingly “tackling” everyone he meets due to his enormous size. He is an immensely intelligent dog and has quickly settled into his new posh lifestyle.
