Mighty Thor

Mighty Thor is living a life of leisure now that he has been adopted. This mighty pup came to the the Fairfax County Animal Shelter with both heart worms and dental issues, but he didn't let that stop him. Friends was able to fund his parasite treatments and also a Full dental service including bloodwork, x-rays, cleaning and scaling. After he rebounded quickly and was adopted even faster, finishing his recovery at his new forever home.

Powerful Picassa

Powerful Picassa came to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter as a three year old cat that was in need of medical attention. She had issues with her ears and needed a double ear amputation and Friends was able to pay for the procedure with the support of our amazing community.

Bold Bebe

Despite his situation, Bebe remains hopeful of a long and happy future. This little guy was placed into the Fairfax County Animal Shelter's care with a serious leg fracture needing repair. Still in high spirits, Bebe was evaluated by a veterinarian and determined to need surgical repair to plate the fractured leg.

Mighty Misty

Misty was going through quite the ordeal when he was surrendered to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter. Misty, who had a history of urinary issues, was suffering from a urinary blockage that was extremely painful. Urinary blockages are causes when the bladder forms stones and those stones get stuck in the urethra. If left untreated, urinary blockages can be fatal as these blockages don't allow urine to pass.

Lucky Lincoln

Chronic issues can cause a pets quality of life to decline when they might otherwise be healthy and happy. Lincoln Hult came to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter from a rescue partner with a chronic eye issue that was quite uncomfortable. After other eye treatments failed to work, a veterinarian determined the best route to relieve him of any ongoing issues was to surgically remove it.

Magnificent Minute

Not only is Minute super photogenic, but he is also extremely lucky to end up at the Fairfax County Animal Shelter! Minute was found alone with a painful broken tail that required amputation. Minute's back-end was experiencing a pretty bad infection on top of his broken tail, which made this case even more urgent.
